Hello all, could someone tell me how to get the photo in the applique easter eggs? Do you put the photo in the hoop or place it in later?????? It looks fantastic.

Oh, Libster, I'm laughing, imagining another cartoon, hubby going in to take a shower, the clear plastic shower curtain full of holes, saying "She must have been embroidering those Easter Egg Bunnies again!" You are just tooooo much! So, when you get it done, you show us, OK? That would be the bunny, not hubby & the shower curtain. Just trying to be clear here. Posies all around! Marji

Thanks and flowers to all. I was just wondering as if you cut the hole, would the stitching unravel? But jrobs idea of some clear plastic would work, but then how do I keep the bathroom floor dry???????

It would be my suggestion to cut out the opening and place the picture behind it. That way you could change the picture. Example up-date it each year or possibly make a new one each year- the years in pictures.

I would run pictures off on photo transfer fabric in my printer to fit the opening and use the picture like the applique fabric. So you would place the fabric down after color 9, (that shows the placement,) run color 10 to tack it down, then trim close to stitch line, finish the cclors and the last color is the satin stitch that secures the egg fabric and the face fabric in place.

Both of these methods would work. You could also cut a piece of clear plastic (like from a shower curtain) and stick it in front of the picture or, you could print your photo onto fabric. All up to the artist. ;)

Libster, I'm going to wing-it here - I haven't had a look at those designs yet, but I should imagine that the design is just the front, no back. And the best thing, I think, would be to embroider the design then place your photo over the hole, and then sticky-tape a piece of cardboard or plastic over the back to hold the photo in place. Hope this is correct - I did say I was winging-it, and serves me right if I'm wrong, haha!!! Flowers and hugs to you.

These would look good on an Easter tree, for all you ladies with millions of Gkids - one for each child.

I was thinking of doing snowflakes names from www.freenamemania.com as decorations for christmas presents for my family, but the eggs would be just as wonderful. Thank you for that suggestion ruthie, a *4u.

Are you talking about the free design or the one on the Cute download? I guess it wouldn't matter, silly me. My guess would be that you put an opening from the back. I saw that only because you would want to be able to launder it. A flower for you.

Thanks loretta, I suppose I will just have to download and have a go at one and see what happens. But if anyone else does know, it would be lovely to hear from you.

I would love, too, hearing from the first one to try it.
