dlonna, everything that has been shared with me from designer to amature - resizing any FSL is not recommended. That is all that I know, I have never attempted it. I hope that I didn't disappoint you with this answer. *4U
dlonna, I wouldn't recommend it, either. I agree with Cutiepie. I think that it could work, but the chances of it are slim and it could damage your machine. I am unsure what Shirlene will say, but for me, I leave LACE to the professionals. A flower for you.
Generally, it is NOT recommended to re-size FSL projects. So much of it relies on the distances between the stitches to keep everything together, and attempting to alter the design can throw everything off. This would especially be true if you were only changing one dimension, or changing dimensions in different proportions. Hope that made sense. Of course, you could always give it a try and see what happens, if you don't mind potentially wasting your time and supplies. Just watch carefully so that your machine won't get damaged if something goes wrong. =]
You are quite right, I certainly don't want to do anything to cause damage to the machine. I should be happy with what I have, and take it from there. Thank you for your response.
I have stretched the bookmarks without trouble. You do have to keep it within limits.
Good question, hope Shirlene can give us a good answer. I have the Janome Digitizer Pro, which when it resizes designs actually changes the number of stitches in the design. However, on redwork, which does not use 'fill' stitches, it keeps the same number, just makes the stitches smaller or larger. That can be a problem. My hunch is that FSL would be more like redwork than filled designs, and you should be careful. I'll go try it now, see what my program does with it. But I bet somebody else has a better answer for you that has actually done it & sewn it out. Good Luck. Marji
