What an amazing idea. This must have taken ages. A wonderful job. Thank you for sharing. Sarah.
I have a few paper dolls to do also.. have not tried it yet.. you did an amazing job with this book..
I would love to see every page of your book. It is simply love and from your heart!! Well done!! Hugs, Laura*
I just realized the date on this -but it doesn't matter as this is a wonderful gift!!
j"aime beaucoup l"idée je veux faire poupée c"est quois (peltex)pour broder plus raide
I don't think I understand clearly. Are these dolls embroidery? or is it the tub and towel? The given link is for actual paper dolls, the clothing shown here, appears as embroidery??
Clear as mud?
Think of it as a flat playset in book form
They play with the paper dolls in different rooms for example-like time to take a bath and change the paper dolls clothes. Sometimes the scenes are made like paper doll pieces that they can move around on a background. Like cars and a race track with signs etc being like paper
doll pieces.
Hope helps a bit.
Hugs

cut me off
on a background but in this case I think
they are embroidered in the book and each
page has a scene. Hope it helps.
No, I don't think she will like it, so you should give it to me because I love it...Lucky her!!********
She will love this. It's very beautiful! Very good job on those!
wow what a beautiful project and super idea! I loved paper dolls as a child... feel tempted to stitch some to play with lol......hubby always says a part of me will never grow up!! flower for you
I never had girls so I have been having fun with my 4 granddaughters and my two grandsons too.
What a pitty I have no little girls! They would love your idea! I only say: Congratulations! Well done.
This is priceless. I have paperdoll designs by martha pullen, but do not have any little girls to stich them for. If I get starated now, maybe they would be done by the time I would have a great granddaughter.
Hee Hee! You are right. I started the books for Christmas presents and didn't finish. Now I'm scurrying for their birthdays. Have two different ones to finish. Thank you for your compliment. I am so happy over everyones response.
dkjack,oh how I would have treasured these as a young girl, I may have to find out where you got these designs from, so I can play with some now. HaHa. A flower for you.
I will try and find the site of the cupie paper doll and clothes. As for the scenes I used, I found them everywhere. i.e. one site the towels, another the tub. I designed ea page scene around the outfit. There are 10 different pages total.
This is one of he most amazing ideas I have seen! I can't wait for grandchildren, and will certainly remember this.
Thanks so much for sharing.
Sue
Wow this is so cute, I love it! I remember playing with paperdolls when I was a little girl. ;)
The whole idea is just wonderful! And I must comment on the 'expert' level of digitizing, very well done! I can easily see what a great lot of work went into this project, from the embroidery to just sewing the pages together. I suspect your granddaughter's grandaughter will be enjoying this book, it'll become an heirloom! Wish I could give more than one flower. And don't be shy of posting projects, we're a fun group. We'll just bug you to see more, that's all. Thanks for this one! Marji
Thank you. Everyone has made me feel so much better. Guess I will complete my third book (just an alphabet book for a firt birthday) and the paperdoll book I'm still digitizing and researching.
Guess you can tell I'm still shaking! Its one of my granddaughters "first" birthdays. :)
Hi I'm italian so excuse me for my English, I love paper dolls but I've never done one, which material have you used for the doll? I send you a flower even if i don't know the very rules of the flowers, please can you explain to me it? Thank you
The doll, clothes and pages were all done on muslin, cover page in cotton. I had to digitize everything first. The one I'm doing now is Maggie from http://www.angelfire.com/country/...
Evelin, welcome to our great group here, & your English is just great! Please join us on the "Community" page for an explanation of the flowers, it's kind of long for here.
Thank you for the answer I hope learning more and more in this so CUTE forum, escuse me for the answer in this section about flowers,at first I was confused
dkjack, Spectacular, what "little" girl would not love this book - where our where did you get these adorable designs? Cupie is so lucky. *4U
The designs came from everywhere. :) I made the book because I didn't want to send just bag of clothes and the Cupie doll.
Looks like a lot of work. Your granddaughter will love it.
Thank you. I started these as Christmas gifts and didn't make it--now they are for birthday. Have started working on another paperdoll I downloaded from a paperdoll site. Must digitize everything first, then find scenes for the clothes
