I made this book for an older granddaughter. Cupie has several outfits so I embroidered scenes on each page to go with them. The outfits and Cupie are held onto the book with double sided velco. The outfits can be taken off and placed on Cupie. The book has 10 pages of clothes and scenes. I hope she likes it.

I don't think I understand clearly. Are these dolls embroidery? or is it the tub and towel? The given link is for actual paper dolls, the clothing shown here, appears as embroidery??
Clear as mud?

Think of it as a flat playset in book form
They play with the paper dolls in different rooms for example-like time to take a bath and change the paper dolls clothes. Sometimes the scenes are made like paper doll pieces that they can move around on a background. Like cars and a race track with signs etc being like paper
doll pieces.
Hope helps a bit.

cut me off
on a background but in this case I think
they are embroidered in the book and each
page has a scene. Hope it helps.

I will try and find the site of the cupie paper doll and clothes. As for the scenes I used, I found them everywhere. i.e. one site the towels, another the tub. I designed ea page scene around the outfit. There are 10 different pages total.

The whole idea is just wonderful! And I must comment on the 'expert' level of digitizing, very well done! I can easily see what a great lot of work went into this project, from the embroidery to just sewing the pages together. I suspect your granddaughter's grandaughter will be enjoying this book, it'll become an heirloom! Wish I could give more than one flower. And don't be shy of posting projects, we're a fun group. We'll just bug you to see more, that's all. Thanks for this one! Marji

The doll, clothes and pages were all done on muslin, cover page in cotton. I had to digitize everything first. The one I'm doing now is Maggie from http://www.angelfire.com/country/...

marjialexa by marjialexa 08 Mar 2008

Evelin, welcome to our great group here, & your English is just great! Please join us on the "Community" page for an explanation of the flowers, it's kind of long for here.

Thank you. I started these as Christmas gifts and didn't make it--now they are for birthday. Have started working on another paperdoll I downloaded from a paperdoll site. Must digitize everything first, then find scenes for the clothes
