I converted a hooded kids beach towel. Cut and edged an opening up the front from the neck opening down the front, stitched up the sides and there you have it, a bathrobe. It was much cheaper and less floppy than your usual oversized bathrobes that weigh quite a bit once a bit wet.
And don't forget, (I did) to leave arm holes when stitching up the sides if you decide to try this out.
