Another lovely quilt Gee all of you are so busty creating so many different designs .All desire flowers
Beautiful Job Jerri. I am always so envious of anyone who has the patience to make quilts. :-) Cheers & a rose, Meganne
jerri, this is a beautiful quilt and so vintage, glad to know where the designs come from, who knows when a baby may come into the family and we might have to put a quilt together for it. *4U
Lovely! I quilt also, but all of mine are out of left over scraps from sewing. All I buy is the backing and batting. But now I want to do one with embroidery too after seeing this piece. Flower for you.
Thank you:
They are so much fun to do. I have made numberous baby quilts with embroidery on them. I usually put the baby's name, birthdate etc. just to personalize it, but they wanted this one as it was.
jerri, how sweet, where did you find these cute vintage animals? You did a wonderful job with this quilt, what sort of fabric did you use here? A flower for you.
Hi Loretta:
I got the designs from Embroidery Library. They are called Vintage Baby Animals, sew out very quickly. I just made this from scraps from other projects, but then a friend saw it and wanted it, so I finished it as you see. The fabric is all minky, both in the smooth and finished the border and back in the bumpy. I love this fabric, so soft for baby projects. I usually put the baby's name, birthdate etc, but they just wanted this one plain.
Thank you for the flower and comment
Jerri
oh, yes, I too got these and am happy to "borrow" your great job of piecing!;)
Great job - I got the design to do for a baby quilt - just have not done it. now I know what it will look like. Thanks for posting this.
