I've never heard of that kind - might have to look again and then try it.
My machine hold the thread sideways, so if I use coats, it gets caught up on the little notch, even with the thread cap on. It seems like regular thread is scratchy in the tension part. It makes me have that feeling like nails on a chalkboard.....
Flowers for all your thoughts! and Thanks too!
try using spool holder behind the machine so you can use the coats thread if you want to.
I use Robison Anton for reg sewing and Signature threads for quilting.

mainly Gutamans have others but like that the best
I also like gutermann thread. I usually manage to buy some when it is on sale - 2 for 1.

for machine and hand sewing I like Guterman. But some of my really old threads are Coats (hard to get now)
Coats and Clarks, I used to buy those cheapo threads 2 for a dollar . But cheapo thread, cheapo results.

I use Coats and Clark....easy to find at JoAnn fabric and Wally World.
Depends what I am sewing. My favourits are Zwicky and Guttermann.
I use Madeira, Sulky, Robison Anton and a few others. What I have the most of is Sulky and Robison Anton. Have no problem with any of the ones I use.
