9 degrees in Abilene Tx. Snow on the ground and everything is frozen. No one is on the roads. My son drives a tanker truck and delivers gasoline to alot of rural areas, he could not work today or yesterday so some of those small town may be out of gasoline. It's just a mess, we are'nt used to this kind of weather situation.Trying to stay warm, water is frozen but am inside safe and warm. Cuties will be gathered around their computers and machines today. Brrrrrrrrrrrr!
I have embroidery supplies i ordered stuck in Mesquite Texas near Dallas-FT worth, delivery trucks are'nt running so I won't be seeing those for awhile.

It is crazy-we didn't get the snow like everyone else-but we have the blowing and drifting. I only live about 25 minutes from the Packer stadium-how crazy that it's colder there where our beloved team is-than it is here!!! GO PACK GO!!!!! All excited for the Super Bowl-took Monday off.
I hope that all of them are safe!I, here, with heat of 43 degrees. Longing of you!
It is & was definately a blizzard....we had 17.5 inches & it is now a light snow but still blowing. Right now DH just flagged down a pickup truck with a plow and they are doing our drive way, but they can't get up to the garage door which has 8 foot drifts in front of it. We have 2 stray cats that we feed and have houses built for, so DH is out there now digging them out so they can be fed...they may even be in the garage as we leave that open about 8 inches so they can go in there if they need to....we'll see......our city has called a state of emergency, so most businesses are closed so we can stay home & off the roads....
Deanna, it sure is crazy - I spoke to simplyrosie last night via AIM and she said that they had a sheet of ice and then snow on top of that - we are in the single digit temps here - thank goodness no wind, snow or ice. Burrrrrr!
Of coarse - it is nothing compared to the winds and the storm in Australia - which I have yet to hear about today from anyone.
I'm Housebound today...18 inches of snow down with another 4/5 expected. Wind clocked at 65 MPH. I couldn't get out my front door IF I had too. Drifts are 4 to 5 ft high.(that's taller than I am) And to make matters worse than the weather....My machine is in the shop :( But I'm going to have a wonderful day spending it right here with my CUTE Family (that I have missed SOO Much.
I am a suburb of Dallas, TX and the news said it is colder here than it is in Green Bay Wisconsin (way north US). Which means it is colder here today than in the hometown of the Green Bay Packers (playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday). Wind chill of -1 F. Us Southerners are not used to this cold. We have ice on all the roads. People can't get to work because the exit ramps are too slick to climb. Tractor trailer trucks are jack-knifed blocking highways. I live 2.5 miles from work and it took just under 30 minutes for me to drive home last night. I might have been able to go faster but chose slow and steady.
I agree, the weather is crazy, as crazy as so many countries with riots, etc. Very scary times.
Hope everyone is safe! It seems the whole world is rocking on its axis. With snow storms in the states and cyclone in australia...I guess we just have to hope that everyone is ok at the end of it and no lives are lost...Hugs Sally
