one of mine did this and my son who used to work on sewing machines is a factory oiled it for me and it started working perfectly, he knew just where to oil it. also sometimes you need to make sure that the underside is not tangled. somtimes I put another piece of stablizer underneath.
I just has this problem this a.m. and the only thing I needed to do was to remove the thread and bobbin, rethread the machine and I was good to go. don't know why but this has happened several times, anyway it's an easy fix.....
Hi, After what I've been through lately, I'd say try a different spool of thread, sometimes it gets old, or who knows, but it really worked for me after NOTHING else would work. LEt us know what finally works. Sometimes I just have to walk away so I don't throw the machine out the window! LOL- ROTFL not really
See you've gotten several good suggestions and hopefully one of them worked for you. Sounds to me like you may be stitching in a rather dense area, perhaps you can slow you machine down to get a better result.
If I use sticky stablizer, sometimes the glue builds up on the needle. This can cause constant thread breakage. I keep a small bottle of rubbing alcohol and a few cotton swabs nearby to clean the needle/needle eye. If it is a dense design with too thick stablizer, this can cause lot of breakage. Aged dry thread will, too. Hope all goes well, without having to take it to the shop.

Check also that there isn't thread caught in the tension. Or perhaps you can go to a larger needle if you are in a dense portion of the design. Make sure your stablizer hasn't bunched under the design. Sometimes if you float stablizer it can fold under and be too thick. Or if using stickyback, you could have too much "glue" in that spot, not much you can do, other than keep rethreading.
Some machines do not like some brand of thread. Try to finish your design with much patience, I have had this problem also.
After, you will study this problem with thread, the brand, the spool, your machine and your design it is very complex
Perhaps with the experience of all of cuties we will be able to understand better.
Have you done the design before? And is it at a really dense part of the design?
