we have about a foot high on the roads and they are narrow. The cold made the road really slippery. So I just slid right into a pile of snow. My neighbor helped me dig out, and no harm was done.

Back to sewing!

Thanks for sharing this. Amazing aren't they. I have been up and close with them too, too close at times. A friend of ours was charged by one......SCARY!

They can be very, very dangerous. The ones that browse in our neighborhood are fairly tame. This momma has eaten from my hand, BUT I am way above her and handing her oranges and apples from the deck and an open door right behind me. It's really hard to say no to that adorable begging face. This lady has another baby and has been stopping by since they were tiny twins. Her nose itches and she likes for me to scratch it. Shame on me!!

Nature is so beautiful to watch. A lot of people are in the same boat with snow up to their eyeball. Me included. Suzanne

I thought I'd show you a photo of our visitors. They are standing on about 3 feet of snow. The baby is on the left and the Momma is next to the house.

When I said there was a foot of snow on the road, I meant it was packed down snow, not new snow. See how big this baby is, she is a yearling, not this year's baby. Momma is eating Clementine oranges I was tossing out to her. She was begging. I couldn't help it! Can you see how cold it is??

this is worth the cold and snow, something you don't get tired of seeing. We don't get to se moose in our area. LOL

I am truly envious of your wildlife visitors and the photo of the snow made me feel cooler.
I'd love to see some more pics of your surroundings, it looks truly magical.

We don't have this kind of wildlife in Australia but I saw how wonderful it was on my trips to USA and Canada, just fabulous!
Hugs n gumnuts, Meganne

Thanks for the warm hugs and the Gumnuts! Are you staying away from the typhoon?

This is so hard for me to imagine as we have a heat wave here in SA. It is early morning and I am trying to get my ironing done before it gets too hot. Stay safe and stay inside. Sarah.

I really get sick in hot weather. It's easier to add a blanket or put on a sweater than it is to cool off. It doesn't get over 80degrees F here in the summer. We don't need an air conditioner, we have clean air, cool breezes and ice cold water from the ground. lots of moose, elk, deer and other wildlife.

Jan, if it were me - I would just stay in - not worry about the outside. Hehehe! Matter of fact it has been cold here - not like your place - but in the single digits and I didn't even want to know what it was outside - we had an appointment that came to us today - so we didn't have to go out - so in the house and at the machine I was - most of the day - it sure was fun for a change. *4U
