He was 1 in a million and was always fascinated with any craft that we did.

Guess you could say this is right but I have always thought of a Hens Party as a pre Wedding get together for the bride and her female friends, but The Old Chooks will get together next Monday - always the last Monday of the month. So I will ask them on the 28th. Love to all. L

I must be careful of the Australian Slang. I now realise that not everyone can understand the way we Australians speak. Chooks - Chickens, but then I think of chickens as the babies. What is the Adult female? Rooster is the male. What a silly subject. Please Aussies help me here.

What a sweet memory. I don't know what a Chooks is, but I'm sure it was said with love. :)

He was probably glad that I was out of his hair (that's a laugh as he didn't any on the top) so he could peacefully read his book. L

He does sound like 1 in a million - I am sure you miss him. I am glad you have your old Chooks to met with and get together and have fun. Keep on stitching.

At least he showed interest in what you did. So many husbands think ita waste of time.

He seemed to be a very nice old "chook" himself! My hubby loves to peek over my shoulder, occasionally, when my embroidery machine is stitching away. He doesn't intrude on my
work, but is truly amazed at a machine that can stitch out a
beautiful piece of art! He is my first "appraiser", after I finish a design! LOL

I hope so, Have to many designs to stitch. Can't go until I am at least 250 years old with the amount I have saved. Hugs Sally.
