Beautiful top, very good work. The colors and patterns like it very much. Just great.
Absolutely stunning! I love the way you used the redwork. Well done!
This is stunning. I like the color combination and over all look of it. Beautiful!
wooow Mildred, you make a beautiful quilt. I like the fabrics and i like so much the colors ********
This is just sew pretty and I really like the fact that you finished it just in time to use it for Valentine's ......thanks for sharing your quilt with us....
Thank you. I really didn't make it for Valentine's. I started it in January of 2010. Block of the month. I had the red jelly roll and a blue one. A lot of my quilts are with blue so I chose the red for this one.
This is lovely, but how did you use a jelly roll for the blocks? The jelly rolls I have look at around here are only 2.5" wide. But this is great. We have a group that is getting together to use jelly rolls to do a quilt - one of the girls asked to use up all of her 2.5" strips - that would be a great way to get a quilt out of the scraps from other quilts. You have done an excellent job here.
Thank you. Most of the quilt is of the 2.5" strips. Will look forward to see the quilt you make
Mildren this is a lovely bom, I have always wanted to do a red work quilt. This is a perfect example of why! Hugs &*4U Loralye
This was my second red and white quilt. My first one went to my brother in state of WA. He and SIL loved it.
Great job Mildred. I love the layout and the colour choices. Love and blessings Chris
Mildred, tis is lovely - I wished I could do quilting - I keep wanting to try - I need a lesson or something - I love what you did to make this. So you are saying - if you buy a jelly roll there is enough material in it to make a quilt?
it would be enough to complete the top only. JellyRoll are pre-cut pieces, so the idea is to make a design [block of patchwork] which uses the particular size of the pre cut fabric. Thereby saving time cutting!
Wish we were closer. I would help you make a quilt. My sister came to visit a few months ago and for 2 days I helped her make her first quilt. She did a great job sewing all the pieces together.
Wow it is beautiful you put a lot of work into this !!!carolyn
