I see you have an answer. Welcome to CUTE... Glad to have you. I have the 1500 also and LOVE it, but don't have a MAC, sorry. Again, Welcome!

P.S. I don't have a mac
Most digitizing software is PC based. I use an iMac with a dual Intel core. I have partitioned the hard drive and installed Windows XP on one partition. I do all my embroidery digitizing, etc. on that partition. But I do download designs to my Mac side. I just have to move them to the other partition to put them into my machine because my machine recognized PC format. I load designs into my machine with a smart media card. How is your machine set up to put designs in the machine? Do you use a smart card, jump drive, or direct hook up to the machine? Kathy
I forgot to ask if you have special software to import and export designs into the machine. If you do, you will probably have to use a PC. If you only have to put the design on a smart media card and put that in the machine, you should be able to use a Mac. Lindee Goodall has some info about Mac based embroidery programs on her website,http://lindeegembroidery.com/ It's on the right side -half way down -embroidery software for Mac users
Hope that helps.
Here is a site that answers specific questions about your machine, http://welcome.solutions.brother....
