Calling it an early night. Stayed up to see the night time shuttle launch, but did not get a good view for the clouds We watch the launches from our back deck. My daughter is an engineer there.

sounds like it would be a terrific sight (if there were no clouds). Do u get much noise from where u r, how far away r u from the launching? *

No - too far away from the site, but close enough to see the booster rockets disengage and if we are lucky the shuttle as it leaves - i have been on site, and that is something. When my daughter was at her first launch she called me all excited and I asked her if the ground shook, and she said "Mom! My clothes shook"

That would be a great experience and opportunity. Do you get a lot of visitors when a shuttle goes up? Does your daughter have to be present when each shuttle goes up?

No she is not at each launch. She is a computer engineer and most of her work has all ready been done. Most eveybody coming down want the VIP passes that my daughter can get, which allows them to be on site. Not always possible.

Fantastic view dlonna, pity about the clouds though, they really should have delayed the launch till the clouds lifted, just for you, haha. Hugs and flowers sweetie.

Thanks - my husband really fussed - he had cameras out so that he could get shots. I wish that he could have gotten it.
