Your fabric looks very pretty indeed. Nice colours.
Beautiful! Love your color choices. *4U and a *4 your son for appreciating your work done with love.
Pat, here is the first version - it deserves another look - next to the finished project, don't you think? Shirlene
Quite an undertaking, and beautifully done. Good color choices.
Beautiful work and nice choice of colours! Happy son the one who has such a working mother! Flowers for you.
Another "WOW!" for you. I love quilting and have wanted to do more in the hoop. I only use the 4x4 so far. Never tried my plus hoop yet (have to split designs to use it tho). Between this and the wall hangings, you have inspired me to do at least a small wall hanging of some sort?!?! *4U
Beautiful work stunning combinations of coloure.Must of taken a wile to finish but it was worth wile a flower and smiles for you
Thank you so much. I think it took about 6
months, it would have taken less time if I had kept at it, instead of doing other
things in between !! *4U
This is gorgeous. How did you do the thin window pane lines?
Thank you. When the 36 blocks were made
(with 13 pieces in each), I joined them
from top to bottom with a zig-zag stitch
first, then a satin stitch, then I did the
same from side to side, but you do need
a lot of room to do the final stitching.
I had the quilt spread over the table
and an armchair, I couldn't let it drape
on the floor because of the dog walking over it !!
This is beautiful!! But, a quilt in a hoop? I'd like to know more about this technique, for sure. A flower for your beautiful work. Marji
Thank you Marji. Yes really, it was made
in a hoop, the 5x7 hoop.There were 13
pieces to make up one block, and there
were 36 blocks altogether, so you can see
how many times you have to hoop up the
stabilizer, wadding, top material, and lining. If you get this particular
design from Chantell's Creations.com
there is a tutorial with it that gives
you all the details, and photographs,
of how to make it. It is very easy to
follow, just make sure you have enough
thread, I think I used 4 or 5 reels on this.
I just love your Quilt & I know your son does also. So neat & clean looking Good Job A flower for you.
Just Gorgeous!!!
Very inspiring, I'm going to have to make one now.
Whereh did this design come from? 5 stars to you
Sharron
Thank you Sharron. The design came from
Chantell's Creations, she has some really
lovely designs.
Pat, this is lovely - I assume this was done in the hoop? Is this a Chantell's Creations? I believe I have that - but for some reason - I didn't make it. You inspirte me. Hehehe! *4U
Thanks Shirlene, yes it was done in the
hoop, and it is Chantell's Creations. It
was rather heavy when it was finished, but
the look on my son's face was all the
thanks I needed !!
Your quilt is fantastic. I just love the combination of colours and design. I imagine it would have been a relief to finish it. Looks like a lot of hard work - or should I say work of love?
Thank you Lyn. Yes it was more a work of love, I never mind what I do for my sons,
even if it gets boring !!!
beautiful combination of flowers and colors. Flowers for it
