I attach the fsl with candle wax. I also only put it on the larger candles that never seem to burn down, they just hollow out. Charla
I burn the candle down and do the scoop out and use the battery tea lights just deep enough to not be visiable I plan where I am going to place my lace and then warm the wax and push the lace into the wax of the candle pin to help hold till the wax cools I put in the fridge for a few min and it cold . you can buy candle with the battery tea light in them I buy mine at FRED's dollar store they had them at christmas for about 5 dollars or you can make your own if you need a style I have also put a glass holder inside a candle and poured wax around it let cool and remove the candle from the form and add my lace and embleshments put a small candle inside the glass holder when I want to have a real candle light like for unity candle at weddings ect hope this helps
I made an embroidery glued on the candle for the candle challenge we did. I used a transparent hobby glue and pinned the embroidery untill it was dry. Because I pinned it the embroidery formed the curve of the candle. But I did not burn the candle. I think it will catch fire if you do. hugs,G
I havent done this myself, but I read about how to do it in a yahoo group: you first need to burn down the candle enough so that you can insert a tea light candle (including the metal dish its in) so you'd be letting the wax melt, then scooping out the slush until the tea candle fits. Just burn the tea candle and replace with another one, and you wont burn any lace. Cant remember which glue is used but personally I'd try clear craft glue first, if it falls off then maybe try tarzans grip, and if it still fell off on me I think I'd heat up some sewing pins (cheapy ones without the glass or plastic heads) and press into the candle to hold the lace on. xXx
thank you I will try that, I was thinking of making the candles myself so I might be able to get the tea light into it before it sets completely
