My computer is in the shop trying for data recovery. I am trying something new that I wish I had known about long ago. One of my Maxtor ext drives died a few months ago so I am trying Western Digitial 'My Book' ext drives on each computer. I am also trying a cloning software which is supposed to make an exact duplicate of my hard drive which is what I wanted anyway. The drive is large enough to accommodate several clones before having to delete any. Two cloning program were recommended, 'Norton Ghost' and 'Acronis True Image'. I purchased the Acronis and have it running on both computers. If it works as stated it should be wonderful.

Will let everyone know how it goes. I can't stress enough to all. Backup, backup, backup, often.
