I believe. We had one who could all but talk. Loved her to pieces. She's why I won't have another one. Can't take the loss.
I believe you; brother-in-law has a dog that likes to sing happy birthday- in his own fashion. Thanks for the very funny story, great way to start the day!Clever idea.
How funny! I love it, maybe you should record his "speaking" so we can all use it when those pesky people call. I too am on the no call registry, but still there are some who call anyway. You might get rich by selling the sounds of talking dogs! Thanks for making my day!
Before getting on the "National Do Not Call Registry" I would ask the telemarketers for their phone numbers so I could call them when I wasn't busy. That was that and they would hang up. I remember it took about a month for most of the calls to stop. Well worth getting on the registry and don't forget to add any cell phones you might have.
I have asked some for their phone number and they have asked "Why" then I have told them that I will report them to the Australian Government because I am on the do not call list. They soon hang up.
I also inform them I am on the do not call list and they hang up and do not call back. I hate the ones that leave text messages on my cell phone though! I rarely us my cell phone, only for emergencies when we are traveling, or I am going to town and my hubby needs me to pick up something. So I find text messages very annoying!!!
In Australia there is a 'Do not call' register. I think charitable organisations are exempt and can call you but other telemarketers cannot. I am on it. We have a business that uses the home phone number and I had to fill in a special form for that. Marg.
Man I wish that we had that here in Canada, Telemarketers call @ least once a day. I was @ my mils today & she had 2 while I was there & she told me that she had already had 4 of them that morning!
Someone I know who until recently worked for a major telephone company here let me know that sometimes the calls are just to check that the phone number will be answered so they can add it to the list for the telemarketers to use. I have callers number ID, so now make sure I don't answer when it comes up as 'Overseas' at around lunchtime, as I'm sure this is one of those checking calls.
We where getting a phone call at about 7 pm every night for a week. And my husband or I would answer it only to find no one there. Great thats all we need is some more calls! If it wasn't out business phone as well as our home phone we wouldn't answer it. But becasue its our business phone we answer as we do have customers who call us after work.
just loved your funny story! Great way to rid the planet of telemarketers. (I know that they are just doing their job, but they can be annoying)
This is too funny, I had to read it to my hubby and I will have to share it with my friend who is a dog lover.....thanks so very much for the laughter.
Just loved reading this, laughed out loud so much the canary thought I was crazy!Hate that now all our customer support is in Asia, Philippines. Good to see the tables turned!Stella
Hee hee hee!!! My aunt had a little Spitz dog that talked too...I believe you!! What a funny way to stop an unwanted phone call. Do you have a "no call list" in the UK? We do & are on it, but some have figured out how to slip thru!!
I once told a telemarketer that I was on the "no call list" and she replied "oh we don't subscribe to that" Duh!
that's great! can you teach my dog the same? loved your story!
Thankyou for telling us this wonderful story. Made my day. I have eight dogs on my farm, three of whom have long conversations with me. The others just listen!!
Too funny. My cat talks. She has fourteen words she says clearly. It is a riot to see her. Fuuny thing is when I bring out the camera to video her she shuts up. ERRRRR. I never knew cats could talk I knew dogs could but never heard cats until this one. If you google talking cats there are so many that do. Too funny though I will have to try to get my cat on those calls. Suzanne
I keep getting the same asian sounding people ringing saying they are from the technical section of Microsoft and want to talk to me about the problems with my Computer. I have told (the 4 times) that I don't have a computer. If they ring again I am going to put the phone down but not hang up.
Before you put the phone down, tell the person just a minute you have to turn the stove off or water or something like that. They will set there longer waiting for you to return.
what they actually want you to do is this: they will have you put some coded numbers in to "check" & "verify" some blah blah b;lah & what you would be doing is entering a code for a virus worm to go through your computer & to attach itself to everyone that you e-mail & when they open their e-mail they will spread it to more & more & more people! We just had this happen & I had just bougt my husband a Dell last Valentines day, so I wasn't really sure sew I told the guy who was from Egypt that I would call him back. He gave me his phone number ( it came up on the id as 0000000000)& I imediately called Dell & this is what he told us was going on! Pass this on to as many of your friends as you can before some poor sole gets taken advantage of badly! & then it spreads!
Wow, scary! I don't give any info to anyone that I have not called myself. As for the all 0 phone numbers, when my son and dil took their honeymoon in Japan and called me the caller ID showed all 0s.
we had the number the guy gave us & reported it to our Dell rep & he looked it up & it was from Egypt! It was actually the right #
I dearly love it. Can I borrow him for the unending supply of these things we get? that is too funny.
wow great fun...I have 2 african grey parrots, that both sound like my hubby, both say hello and mumble on laughing for ages, when they hear the telephone..going to put them to work, with the next tele'sale. thanks for the idea!
Can I borrow him? I hate those phone calls. I have caller ID and when I am not sure of where the call is from I don't answer, they never leave a message.
Oh, Annie.....I'm laughing so hard, I'm crying! I, too, love to entertain myself! What fun.;)
Oh please can i borrow Ben :) I hate it when i get a call and i cannot understand them , PAY BACK TIME>> GO BEN!!!!!!
Love it!!Love it!! Only goes to show that they talk a lot of 'crap' and do not take any notice of what you are saying or should I say barking. LOL. Marg
thank you for my big laugh of the day...this is sew cute and funny.....she didn't even realize she was talking to a dog.....way to go doggie......Maybe if we all let our dogs do the talking they would quit their crap over the phones.....
Annie, LOL this is so funny! 3 minutes wow I wonder if it was one of those company that records conversation what a hoot... Hugs Sally
Funniest thing I've heard in a long time. Thank you so much for sharing this story!!
LOL! That is the cutest story. I always let my children talk when they where 2 or 3. Didn't take to long before they quite caling too, lol!
Could make a mint borrowing that dog out! May have found the answer for that annoying telemarketer !
This is priceless...love that your dog talks with you...my gf has dog that likes to talk too and also thinks he's human. Good way to deal with those pesky callers too. When they call my brother he just asks them to hold for a minute putting the phone down and not coming back to it for 10 minutes or so....for some reason they always hang up...lol
Oh my gosh. Wish you got this call on video. It could be on Home Funny Movies. Image if she saw this. Hugs Yvonne
That is tooo cute! You should hire him out!
Hugs, Nadyne
thats a good one...thanks...maybe I will put my gd (15 months) on the phone for pesky callers.
