Also, would you dare put mylar on baby or small child items? I don't want it coming off after a couple of washings if it is washable.

Thank you!!

The only thing I would worry about with babies or small children is if they were to pick at it & somehow be able to start getting little pieces of the mylar out, would they swallow it? probably. I don't know what's in it, but don't think it'd be healthy for small children! think I'd stick to items for older kids. Just my thought. And it does wash well, I've done it. As for the dryer. Is supposed to dry, but I hang mine up to dry.

Mylar holds up well in the wash. I even leave soaking in bleach, Mylar doesn't change at all.
Hope this helps,
Yoriko

This site has lots of free mylar designs, which you may alredy know about. There is a translation button at the top of the page. You may be able to find some information there. If not, try http://embroidery.com/ and see if you can find information there.

Here is a note I just saw posted by Yoriko. If she can do it on towels, then I'm sure it's washable and holds up well. May want to send her a PM.

I have embroidered several Mylar designs on towels, and it works beautifully. Plus, you don't need WSS on top, Mylar holds the stitches very well. Hugs,Yoriko
