Today I started my work day with a horrible email from a woman on this board. She was not happy with some FSL she purchased from someone, I've no clue whoh, and had the audacity to write and complain to me (even though I have NO FSL for sale).

It wouldn't have been so terribly bad except that she threatened me (to "spread the word" about her disappointment).
That makes it a different *animal*.

So I'm posting here to educate people, to be more careful in who they write and HOW they write:

* Read the entire advertisement, make sure you're writing the correct person before even beginning to correspond at all.

* Refer to what you bought and specifically from whom (this is important for someone like me, who not only digitizes, but represents others as well, I have two sites). Additionally, ALL my posts, no matter where they are, are posted *for* the vendor in the latter case, never *as* the vendor. It's stated in each ad.

* Try to resolve the issue amicably (REGARDLESS).

* NEVER, EVER threaten someone (you could be harming an innocent person <~try justifying THAT).

I am so disgusted right now...but I hope this helps someone NOT to make the mistake this woman has (and is) making.

Thanks for reading...I hope it does some good.

LOL, if it were my designs that were being referred to, of course I'd 'own' it. Fortunately now the person is aware of this fact lol. ~ Charlotte

We live in a perfect world right! Where anything you buy weather it be a car, shirt, tv or maybe even a pretty design and there all suppose to be perfect all the time!

But in my world I've had to take them back to return them or get it fixed. I didn't act like the person that I was talking to created my problem!

I have stood in line so many times and heard people be completely rude to some poor sales person and it wasn't even their fault.

What gets me the most is that the person being yelled at has to take it because their at work and can't fight back because they will lose there job and the person that is yelling knows that and takes advantage!
Some people have no class at all.
To bad you can't give out names! I think she would get an ear full from all of us!!! LOL!
I hope you have a better day!

Well, truth be known I wouldn't want her to get an ear-full. I said my piece to her and I believe she understands she should have checked further into what she was doing and who she was writing (it happens).

So Sorry you got such a letter! How thoughtless to not try and work out whatever the issue may have been. Given the chance most people and companies are more than willing to make things right!

You know, this is sew true. There isn't much that can't be worked out.
I deal with people I don't care for much every day (on groups I moderate as an example) yet I still let posts through etc. (life's too short you know).

What a darn nuisance :( Chances are they also re-sized the design, used the wrong stabiliser, or whatever else to make the design not work so well, too! Thanks for reminding us all to be cautious. Hopefully 99.9% of us would 'play nice', anyway, but the reminder doesn't hurt. We should probably all feel sorry for that person anyway. I'll bet they're not a happy soul :( Perhaps if that person is reading this, it's time to make a super-nice apology to *everyone* they've upset lately. And maybe ask for help next time, instead of jumping down someone's throat.

oh man that is just awefull, I sorry that this has happened to you no-one deserves this kind of treatment! I wonder if she has heard the old saying Never ASSUME because if you do: you make an (ASS)-OUT-OF-(U)-&-(ME). NOT NICE EITHER WAY!

That is really terrible. There really is no need for it. Even if she was addressing the right person she would be more likely to get some assistance if she is nice about it. I hope your day gets better.

She absolutely went about that the wrong way. You can't solve a problem by starting a new one.

Very good suggestions. Sometimes when I'm really upset I write my email and then put it in "drafts" to look at later when I'm calm and have better judgement.
Sorry you had a bad one.
