Did anyone ever do a design that while you were stitching it, it said "applique" and then proceeded to do a fill stitch? Threw me for a loop, started over, good thing I buy extra fabric!

What machine and software do you have? Applique designs just show an outline in color, where filled designs show all the pieces. Perhaps a preview will help you next time.

I've had this several times, I have a Brother too. a color is called applique but it is a normal stitch to embroider. So I neglect the word applique and embroider the adviced color.

Yep, what a disappointment! Never used the design again! I did finish it out and didn't like what I saw. If it was to be appliqued why did it cover the whole thing and why did it applique over stuff already embroidered? The whole design was a mess! Very disappointing. Why would they name a color appilque?? How silly!

Yes, I have had this happen. It usually does it when the color is like a skin color, light tan or peach. I just thought it was the way my machine read that color. I have a Brother ULT2001. It only happens occasionally....I watch the color sequences on the computer as it is sewing if I have any question...

Sounds like a digitizer error. Can you contact the digitizer?
