Look in the video projects on Embroidery.com the have some really cute ones made up. I never would have though to do it the way the did but I really like it an plan on doing some for my up and coming grandbabies
I do tons of these. Usually do a dozen as a baby gift. If you can hoop the diaper you don't need a stabilizer on the back. If you can't hoop the diaper tearaway does work best.I use my all fabric hoop and no stabilizer on back, but I do use a washaway on the top like jrob said.
I use water soluable on top and bottom if it toweling Diaperble
you do need to use tearaway on the back. water soluable is optional on top.i can't see not doing water soluable on the back. you can also sew ribbon down each side seam for decoration to match the color of the embroidery you are doing. you do need to hoop the diaper or the embroidery could get out of line. i have done these and found hooping is definitely best. you can also serge together the back sides and turn right side out and sew the bottoms together embellishing with lace or eyelet for girls and extra wide binding for boys. lots of luck! roberta
I use tear away on the back, but I also use a water soluable stabilizer on the top to keep the threads from burrowing into the diaper. ;)
puppyjo, is your name really MaryJo? Too cool there aren't many of us, especially not on the same site.
MaryJo in MD.
MaryJo- looks like I have another friend from Md. I think we are the only two that I have noticed so far.
puppyjo, I assume you use that name in connection with your rat terriers. Read your profile. My Dad still calls me MonkeyJo..wonder how that connection was made could have something to do with lots of trees when I was a kid. Not any more tho.
