1.hoop tearaway stablizer and sew placement (1st color)

2. add fabric and float a cutaway under hoop.

3. sew second color. Leave in hoop and trim fabric and cutaway...do not cut tearaway stabilizer.

4. Sew text and eyelet

5. add fabric under hoop...Sew ouline,stop machine

and trim under fabric do not cut stablizer

6. Sew satin outline.....done!

Thank you so much I am going to make this tomorrow. I start babysitting my new GD in 2 wks so will make 1 for me and 1 for them LOL
I am just curios how the eyelet works if it is stitched out before you add the backing wouldn't it be useless?
I am going to try and jump by it and sew it before the last stitch and see how it works.
Again thank you for such a nice gift to all us cuties

You are right! I will try to fix that tomorrow. I didn't stitch this one out yet, as I just added a stitch down and moved the colors around...but you are so right thanks!

Thank you so much for the repost. My son's ex-girlfriend and her husband live on a sail boat (they also are both commissioned in the Coast Guard) and just announced they are having a baby. I'll have to make one with a sail boat in the background for the boat. Part of a baby-care package I'll send.

Thank you sewdoctor for the extra step.
Here is the link to the old design in case anyone wants to compare.

I like this design as a "blank" too. Add your own words and skip the "Baby on Board" for multiple uses.
