Uuuggg. Definately need to get into my sewing room and put on the "sun" light. I'm in need of that boost! We've got well over a foot of snow, and in the drifted spots you could get lost!! My poor chickens where really disappointed when I opened their litt

We haven't had as much snow as you - but I do understand what you are saying about the boost - we got about 8 inches of snow - yesterday morning - about a year and a half ago - my husband put in 'sun light bulbs' into all our light fixtures - as we live in a basement apartment - since then it feels alot better and I don't get down like I used to - but getting out and about - is what I need the most - seems the only place I go is to doctors and therapy appointments and the grocery store.

Shirlene,
It is amazing how bright lights and sunlight lift ones mental outlook! Way back in 1985, before it was known how light helps depression, I was terribly distraught from depression and the resulting clouds that would engulf me, and miraculously (the Lord's guidance), I realized one day while standing under a bright flourescent light in my kitchen, the clouds seemed to be lifting. At some of my worst moments, I found relief bundled up on a cold day away from the thrust of the wind, allowing the full ray of sunshine
on my face to lift my spirits. Light therapy isn't given enough publicity; it works wonders to help one fight depression! I feel like shouting its benefit to the world, because depression is purely "hell on earth"!!

Hi Shirlene and Angel,
I, too, really need the light. I also NEED green. This time of year I try to get outside whenever the sun is shining, and I put green, green images on my screensavers and everywhere I can. We have toooo much snow here and it just keeps coming!
