the other workers what it was and then they together went and pulled it out. She was saying sorry and that she was just learning too. I told her no problem. Some of you might remember my butterfly fiasco the other night when my fsl butterfly kept getting sucked down into the machine!

So I pulled out my new wss and because I am new to embroidery. I for once thought maybe I should read the instructions on it. I'm really bad about reading up on things. I just want to get going!

They gave me iron on stabilizer for APPLIQUE! 5 or 6 yards!
I don't want to hurt the workers feelings and she was really trying hard to help me. I've only done one applique and not sure if it is my niche.
Do you think I will ever use all of it or should I take it back?

Take it back, it was not your fault.

Take it back but I don't believe I would cut any off of it before hand. I'd wait and have it done there. The amount will need to match your receipt when you return it and then just buy the yard.

Yes I am going to wait and get a yard at the store and not do it at home. I don't think they would like it if I did. LOL!
Thanks Dawn

A great big thank you to all of you! And I am going to take it back. I think it would take me years to use it all up.
Thanks again and a flower for all!

I would say take it back unless you can afford to keep it and really need it, but then you still have to go and shop for your WSS. This can always be a trap as you will find something else you want.
Good Luck, Lyn

Oh Dawn! I'd take it back to ... you can return the item and have a laugh with the sales assistant about it and she wont feel bad Im sure!

Walmart did that to me when I bought my machine! I haven't used it yet for anything, luckily I read all the paper that was with it and knew it couldn't be right but I only got 1 yard so I could try the machine out. You really should return it, I'd be ticked, at JoAnn's they really should know better.

just like all the others say: take it back, You did not get what you asked for and you cannot use it for this also. And don't think you hurt the workers feeling, this way they will learn what product they sell and for what kind of purpose it will and can be used.If you don't tell other buyers get wrong informed if they ask what to use.So I suggest another trip and now for the right material.

Sorry you will have to make an extra trip--although I usually don't need an excuse to head to JoAnnes!Next time, take it upon yourself to look on the end of the bolt packaging before they cut. It usually tells very clearly what the product is and I'm sure you would know better than the clerks what it is to be used for.

I am sorry to hear about the mistake, I would take it back. They really are very good about that. You did buy alot and if you are not sure you are going to use it, you will sit with it. Besides, you really need to go back anyway and buy the right stuff!

Unfortunate as it is for this to have happened, I too agree take it back. The other thing to consider is how many other people have had the same experience & if you don't take it back she or he doesn't know that they are making this mistake! They could end up repeating the same mistake! Better to take it back & get what you actually need!

I agree with Shirlene, take it back and get what you originally went in to purchase. I used to work at our local JoAnns and it is your right to get the item that you wanted.

I would take it back and get what you went to buy in the first place and it doesn't matter if the sales person was new or not - you didn't get what you wanted.

If you had used your 40% coupon then keep it. But $2.95, and you're not sure you will use it? How much storage space do you have?
Maybe you could firm up a tote bag.

I have a whole bedroom that I turned into my painting and sewing room so space is not a problem. I'm just afraid that I will never go thru that much of it.
Thanks Dawn

If the price was right, I would keep it, just thinking,"well, someday I just might need it". If it was a little on the pricey side, I would take it back, without GD and get what I really wanted. So lol and a flower for you!

Thank you for the giggle when I read this about not taking GD with me. It was on sale but I think that I might only keep a yard of it.

If you not going to use it - I would take it back. Not that you want the sales person get into trouble but it's your hard earned money and you may never use it. Unless you're like me and will find some other use (cutting patterns) and it didn't cost you too much!

It was on sale and I paid 2.95 a yard for it. I think I might keep a least 1 yard of it.
Thank Dawn

If I remember correctly they will take it back as long as you have not cut any of it off. Wait til you get there and then get 1 yd to keep.
