lorianne, with you having 4 bernina's - you are more than likely not willing to read about mine - Hehehe! My first machine was a Babylock Ellure, I traded up for a Babylock Ellegante - you don't want to hear why I don't have it any longer - I have a Baby Lock Esante, that was given to me, I now run a brand new Babylock Ellegrante2-Nancy Zieman Signature Limited Edition that was a gift from my Mother (who owns Bernina's & Husgvarna's) for moving from NC to UT to help her with her illness and I am still in seventh heaven thinking that she would do that for me - that is why I have so many projects going on - trying to make up for lost time and to show her my gratitude for what she did for me, I guess. Hehehe! *4U

I know we have to have a back-up machine, but wow!! do you have a daughter to hand them down to?
I have an Elna Xquisite 2 with Xpressive 2 software and a Bernina Overlocker (serger) (19 years young) and my original Elna Supermatic that my first husband gave me for our first wedding anniversary, 40 years ago. That machine has sewn everything from delicate lingerie to heavy canvas horse blankets to leather bridles and i have never even had to replace a light bulb. I love my machines and thank the good Lord everyday for giving me the skills to be able to use them. Cheers and a rose for asking, Meganne
My baby is a Bernina 440 QEE, I also have a New Home from 1990 which was one of the first computerized machines around. It gets to rest most of the time. I have Bernina Editor software to run it and that program lets me convert from almost any format.;)
I'm with you on the Bernina software. I just wish I could take more classes to use it. Check the Bernina web site to download tack down stitches if you haven't already. I'm not good enough to do this on my own with the software. Need all the help I can get!! lol
lorianne, I am at my daughter's to use the PC, but I have two Bernia's, one is an Artista, can't remember the other one, and I have a Husgvara Designer 1, and a serger. I might have a couple more in storage, too. HaHa. Loretta A flower for you.
Oh I don't want to go to storage. My daughter threatens she will have one of those bins delivered to my driveway to get rid of my trash, TREASURES.
I have 4 Pfaffs, a 2170(4D software), a 2124, an old workhorse 1473, and an old workhorse 794 serger.My original embroidery machine was a Janome 8000.
I have a Bernina 165 artista. I find it hard to get free designs in ART format. I have a Jancone serger whic is still in the box. I just pu on layaway a babylock Quilters Choice.
I have many designs that have been freebies from several of the yahoo groups. But I mostly download in pes and convert with my Magic Box to ART. Tomanpete
Viking Designer SE and Scan. 300. The 300 was a replacement for a 1975 Viking. That got me started with embroidery. I traded-up from a Rose until I got the SE. Love them both.
I have a Rose. It's my first. I like it very much but I am dreaming with a Designer.
Which ones do you have? I have 2 at the moment, a 730 which i love and 185. I gave my daughter my 1130 because I could not trade it in for nothing. Have 2 sergers, but not Bernina.
I have a 1230 (my workhorse) and an Artista 185.. then my serger and my cover stitch machine
