Nebraska to Florida to be married. Ken has just gotten out of the Air Force, and came to Florida looking for jobs with his sister. It has been an up and down 47 years, but as my friend told me - "It's been a good ride".

Thank you - I was not quite as young as you - but I met him when I was 17, and we married I was 19. Young and in love - now older and still in love.

Well - since we don't eat out a lot - anything will be nice - and I will even put on a pair of nice slacks and shirt. LOL

Thank you - My parents celebrated 76 years before my daddy passed - and on February 27th, will be the anniversay of my parents wedding 81 years ago.

Thank you - we come from good examples - my parents were married 76 years, and I have brothers and sisters that have celebrated 50 plus, and 40 plus years together.

21107947 Years is truly amazing. Congratulations! Have you ever just made a simple list of all the events of your lives together, not even including the detail? It might just blow you away! There have been times I could have drop-kicked my husband over the dump - and then there were times I would have flown to the moon to retrieve him. For our 20th anniversary, I made a list of all the reasons I loved him. I thought I'd try to think of 20 reasons and I came up with about 50! I gave him the list instead of a card. He keeps that list in his files. I keep thinking he's going to bring it out on one of those days when he thinks I'm ready to drop-kick him! May God bless you for another 47! Love and hugs, Jan

That is great - we usually tell people that we have only been together about 1/2 of those years - he traveled the World before he retired, and I was here with the girls. So, we had a lot of reunions. LOL

No way - but do have him trained to do the "Cinderfella" chores - that is laundry, and the floors, and windows when it is needed. That was the agreement when he retired, and I said I would continue to work.
