If you want to curve a word or words do you have to do it on a dizital software to do this technique? Like the "Do not Distrub with the bear design".

You don't need digitizing software, customising software will do the job for you. Like 5D Embroidery or 5D Embroidery Extra, or Embird Basic plus either bought alphabets or Font Engine. Most major software offer a customising package - far cheaper than the complete set.

Thank you Mops. I was thinking of the Embird but I don't want to get it if there are limitations on it. But I guess it would be good to have because I don't want to go into the whole designing I just leave that to all of you that are experts. So just something simple that I can curve sentces. Is there any free programs?

I did that design using the free software Emboidery Fonts Plus. (From Emboidery Designs.)

I have PE design and Floriani and use them both. Embird will if you have that particular part of Embird.

As far as I know yes you do have to have software to do this. I have a Viking and I have to use software in order to curve my sentences or words.

You can use Embird Editor to manipulate any letters you have. If you have any of the Embird Alphabet plugins it is even easier to do.
