this is a photo of my latest attempt at quilt makeing. i started this craft last November and this is my third to date and each one done differently. this is a quilt as you go project and i have learnt how to do sashing and the correct way to put on binding. and once more i have used fleece as the warm backing. I used my serger to neaten the edges of the blocks beofre adding the sashes. no thread but simply made use of the knife on it to cut away the excess backing

With this quilt i used my embroidery stitches and also added a few memory joggers along the seams of the patchwork. instead of useing decorative stitches i have put in the names of the dogs my daughters and i go walking with, the place we most love to go to the information that i love them and send hugs and kisses and of course their names. My nickname and the date. i used varigated thread in the bobbin to give the black fleece a sparkle.
I will not tell them about these bits of information but perhaps one day they will spot the fact that the embroidery is not all flowers but they have words and little dogs and even ants on their snuggle in quilt

This is great Annie, once you start you can't stop! Already 3 since November - you are going along like a steam train. I hope they find all the little bits of information on them. I love to look for hidden notes. Love and blessings Chris

Annie, this is lovely andyou used such clever means to finish it off and make it special - I do hope the girls find the treasures of the quilt sooner rather than later. *4U
