Feb. 2011 - After downloading the "Chocolate Monster" from DBC I found the "Cutie Monster" and will finally try making one. I went through my material stash and found some felt, I don't remember if I bought these pieces from JoAnn or Michael's but have any of you actually read the stickers on them?

They are made from "recycled post-consumer plastic bottles"!!!

Really neat what man has been able to acomplish!!!!!

Many thanks for all the freebies from DBC!!!!

I knew about the fleece and felt, but I saw a jacket at Old Navy the other day that was made out of "recycled wool" Okay, so just what does that mean? Is that where all those scratchy sweaters your aunts made you that were 2 sizes too small go? hee hee hee

I had to go take a look at my felt. Sure enough - I had never known that. I know that we recycle all of our plastic, so maybe it is coming back in another form. I saw a play yard the other day that was done from recycled tires ground up. It is great that we can make something from so much of the trash.

I did not know they made felt from PET bottles, but I knew fleece is made from the same material. So the bottle waste problem will now become a fleece and felt waste problem?? Or could they recycle again, pigments and all?
