i posted a pic of my granny in the projects now how do you digitize a pic and is it a lot of work

marymoore, I did suggest that you could do a photo stitch of your granny and that I would be happy to assist you with that - send me a black & white - I will see what I can do with the softwared I have - if it works great - if not - off to school to digitize. Hehehe!

Digitizing a picture is a LOT of work. At least it is if you want it to look good. You need the correct software, and let me tell you that you won't be happy with "autodigitizing". So that leaves manual digitizing, where you place each individual point (not stitch, thank goodness) to make the shapes that make up your image. That is why photos are the hardest. There are so many different, unique shapes involved, so much shading, and it will take a whole lot of time. I wish you luck if you decide to take that kind of task on. Flower for you.

Mary, digitising is a big thing, it's also a big learning curve, but obviously not impossible to learn - look at all the digitisers on the net, haha. Have fun sweetie, and hugs and flowers to you.
