I had the same problem with Plastic type WSS so I won't use it now, I only use "fabric" type WSS, it's really great and you can buy it here:- http://abc-embroidery-designs.com...
cheers & a rose, Meganne
Thank you for the information. I have the "fabric" type WSS, I wanted to try the Meltaway and the plastic type WSS. I may just stick to the "fabric" type. *flower*
Hi, Hoop the tearaway or cutaway but use the washaway on TOP of the fabric such as towels to keep the stitches from 'sinking' into the fabric. You don't need to hoop the washaway...just lay a strip on top of your towel. After stitching your design tear or cut away as much as possible then wet your project and the washaway will ...wash away!
Thank you for the information, I have not tried towels yet, but know I have some informatin to go on when I do, thanks. *flower*
You may need a heavier stabilizer for the designs you are doing. However, I have not used melt away. I use water soluble stabilizer and usually heary weight.
I do not know if melt-away comes in different weights. Does anyone know about melt away? thanks *flower*
The only time I used melt away stabilizer I did not hoop it. I had the tear away on back, and the melt away was placed on the top - used it on towels, but I never really cared for it. Prefer the wash away. Hope we can learn from some of the other Cute ladies.
Thanks for the information. I am not too sure of this melt away stabilizer this is the first time i have used it. I always learn something new when i visit this site. *flower*
I am not sure what happened. My first time usng the melt away. It was like the stitching cut completely into the stabilizer then the design came loose and curled under the needle and made a mess. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong and what could help. Thanks
