Your so right about the computer getting in the way of getting things done! However this is lovely. Looking at projects today after being away for a couple of days you really have started something with these too. :)
this is beautiful but I am a bit confused-you said you bought your pattern at Oregon Patch-and then a day or 2 after I saw yours Martine has the design on DBS-who started the whole trend?? I still haven't had a chance to do a real one-although I did do a practice 3" square to see if I figure out how to construct it lol ~linda~
I love these your's came out very pretty. I'm working on some myself that are a combination of some free downloads. I really can hardly wait to get started on them now. I hope to be able to post them here soon.
Hi, Did you get to making a Biscornu? Would love to see it/them on Projects. Lyn
I've admired biscomus for some time now - and your beautiful example has convinced me I have to add this to the top of my list! This is lovely Lyn, thanks so much for sharing and good luck at the market - I know I'd buy at least one!
*for you.
Thank you. I have admired this pattern for ages. Bought it but didn't think I would stitch it as it frightened me. I stitched out 3 on Saturday night and once I realised what to do, it was just so easy. Ladies at my Craft group all admired them. I have stitched the other 2 together now and will put buttons on them tonight and when I am finished put them in my Projects. I have another pattern as well from either Stitchahalf or Stitch Delight. Cheers, Lyn
Lyn, this is lovely - you are going to have to figure out how to put a design on and then get on the PC - then when you have a thread color change - how to stop what you are doing on the PC and get to the machine quickly and then back tot he PC and so on and so forth - so you can get our embroidery work done.
Don't think I can do this. This is one reason I broke 2 needles the other night. The thread got caught on the back of the reel so the thread was too tight and when the needle came down it hit the edge of the foot. This happened twice because I wasn't watching. L
This is beautiful and makes me want to make one too but I am preparing for work tomorrow after a week off
Have been to my Crafty meeting today and one of my friends left early as she just wanted to go home and make one. She doesn't have an embroidery machine though.

THis is lovely - is it to be used as a pin cushion? I guess I am going to have to go over and take a look there. LOL
Well - I wish you luck with that. I can't ever seem to get enough made up to try one. Either that, or I give the things away before I get set for one.
Beautiful! I need to embroidery more and use the computer less. lol I don't think I will ever be this good. Love it!!!
This was done with my Embroidery machine. Pattern from Oregon Patch Works. It was easy as the machine did all of the work. L
C'est bien vrai, j'ai beaucoup de mal à quitter l'ordinateur. Peut être parce que je n'ose pas utiliser ma machine toute neuve.
Ce que tu as fait est très réussi, bravo.
lovely i try not to sit here all day as i do love to embrodery!!carolyn
What a clever way to use two squares, I'll have to try this out too. Lovely design!!
actually you can do both if you have a laptop. sometimes its just hard to put it down. lol =0)
very pretty, love the colors.
Thankyou. I tried to use the same colours that were on the pattern that I bought. I was a little frightened that it would not turn out, so I am really pleased with the finished product. L
