These are gorgeous. I saw this the other day and googled biscornu to see what it was, and found a site 'the floss box' with cross stitch patterns on it. Now I havn't hand stitched in years, but I've just spent a few days in bed sick, so between sleeping I've cross-stitched myself one out. It kept me in bed and not bored!
I have bought some of the patterns from The Floss Box. Especially the ones with Owls and Penguins. I am often asked for these at Markets. Hope you are feeling better. Will you put it in Projects. Please do. Lyn
Lyn, if you are good, you are GOOD! It took me the WHOLE morning to do 1!
Yes they do take time. I find it takes more time to set up then each colour change, but Hey look what you finish up with. I am doing a green on green one as I write this. L
You say you are not a good photographer but they look so good in your photo that I went and bought the design myself. I dont do that often. The only downside is I dont know when I will get it sewn out. So thanks again for showing us your work

When I finish a project I am too impatient to get it up into projects and most times that is at night when the light is not great for photos.
These are lovely I have recently purchased this design also so really must try to make one up as well. There is also a very nice one on Stitch Delight that I have purchased also I think it is under the Home Decor section
The one you purchased from Stitch Delight was it from the Pincushions? If so I stitched it last night but it will have to wait for a few days before I can put it together. Not happy with my colours. The orange is too strong. Realised I also have that Boot pincushion so that I must do soon. Lyn
These are beautiful!! I love the design with the candlewicking in them. I didn't know what a bisornu was until you shared. Thank you
Very nice, so delicate.
Thank You Alice. You know what everyone (females) will be getting for presents.
Good morning Lyn,
These are just so quaint. They remind me of the olden days when ladies used to sew and embroider as part of their day. Just SUPERB! I hope you get lots of money for these at your Craft sales days.
Love Chris
I like to have lots of different things on my stall. Crafty people always stop and have a chat. You can see them looking, taking in ideas as they chat. Love to know how many go home to make something the same. Thank You Chris.
I had to come see what that B ( word was) I never seen that before... LOL I love the pin cushions... Very pretty indeed... Wendi
These are beautiful!!. I am guessing there is some hand stitching. are these squares that are turned 90 degrees from each other? Just trying to understand them. You did a GREAT job!!!!!
If you look at my picture above. The pink line is actually the edge of each square and this is where you hand stitch them together. You start by joining the corner edge of one square to the center edge of the other square. This makes the angles. Hope this is clear. Lyn
Very pretty. What size do they finish off to, since I can't tell from the picture?
They are 4.5 inches in diameter x 1.5 inches deep. Most on the web are done with cross stitch but I now have two different patterns for my machine. L
Lyn, I really like these - I might have to attempt them, too.
I was a little frightened of these, but loved this pattern so much I just had to have it. Then I got into making one and found it so easy. Now I have 3 and have another pattern which I will stitch out today.
These are beautiful and I, too, decided that I have to give this one a try. Good luck with the market and I am sure that these will be a hit.
I have a friend who lives and sells the other side of Adelaide to where I am and she can sell items at her markets that I can't sell at mine????????? L
Ok that solves! I HAVE to make one of these! They are so very pretty! thanks for sharing! *4U
SOLVES it- that should be, lol I got so excited by the picture, I forgot what I was going to say! :-D
At my craft group yesterday a friend left early as she wanted to get home to make one. I must giver her a ring and see if she has already made it. L

Sorry about that. It was slow to send the message so I thought it hadn't connected so clicked again. L
They are lovely Lynn you been a busy girl !!!catrolyn
You have done a great job, I like them very much, see you found the matching buttons!
I bought bulk buttons and found it very hard to find just 2 that matched on the top and bottom. One of my friends said it wouldn't matter as you can only look at one side at a time. L
