Thus I have still no such pictures made however the yellow separation disturb somehow. In dark color pretends the window framework. Play they a little with colors! Which best pleases that is OK! Much joy to experiment! Glad Easter and flowers also for it
I bought a shadow box today and will chg the ribbon now and repost the pic when finished. Thank you all for your ideas. *'s for all. Blessings, Joanie
I think it would look great in a yellow frame to match the stitching that fits it exactly! Isn't it wonderful that we all have such different tastes and opinions, I love getting different input. You did a beautiful job with it. ;)
Thank you for the input (all you ladies) and the compliments. Not too bad for the first one.
joanie, very nice - how about a bit of yellow and white in a mat for it - with a nice frame - this would be so stricking - it is now. *4U
I thought of sponge painting yellow on the black, then disregarded it. Thank you.
Hmmm - that sounds like it would work - it would add the color that you need - maybe two colors would work better - think about yellow & teal (or green, depending on what the plant color is).
Yes I agree with Dionna, a darker (stripe) colour, or even one matching the stitching, would not stand out so much and I would choose a Shadow box frame to put it in, without any matt showing around the outside edges. Also, perhaps, you could try putting a dark matt underneath the material and see if it will help show up the design up better. Or you could be really brave and paint the light material. Cheers and a rose for trying so hard, don't forget to show us how you finish it. Meganne
Thank you. Funny you say shadow box cuz I was at Michaels and almost bought one. Maybe after the long week-end I will.
The flowers are actually of 2 lighter shades of yellow, guess it doesn't show :/
Try thinner black ribbon to give the effect of a window pane. I have not really ttried to do a true picture like this. Was this a 4 part embroidery, or did you split the design? A darker back ground would have shown the flowers up. Good job though.
