Like "Basketkase" I have the bernina 6.0 plus I am still learning to use it and have worked through about 1/3 of the manual. I love it and wished I had more time to play with it more!
I love my P-E Design and have v6.

Do you do a lot of digitizing of your own designs? With this website my time spent on the computer is mostly spent here now. I need to take the time to practice my digitizing. Thanks for answering. *4U
I use PE-Next. Took a claass in January to learn the ins & outs. Charla
I have a Bernina, so I use their software 6.0 plus. It is proprietary to Bernina as everything is in the Bernina world, but once I got into it, I love it.
Glad you love it. I guess from what I learned from Alice is that all programs work you just need to know the basics of digitizing and then figure out how to perform the task with each program. Thank you for sharing. *4U
Many people love Embird. I am only just getting started with it. I have been told that it is a very powerful digitizing software and the cost is relatively low compared to most of them. If you can attend an NNEP show you can check out all of them before purchasing.

If you don't mind me asking what was the cost of you PE-Design 8? I wanted to get one but don't think I could afford it. I do hope you find your answer. I have never digitized at all. Good luck.
I got my PE-design 8 for $700, Yes it is pricey, but they actually gave me a deal because the Next 9.0 version had just came out. It is good to negotiate with your dealer when new software comes out. I have only done one design so far. Just used the auto punch. I have a lot to learn yet.
I think quite a few people use PE design, I don't I use generations.
Thanks for answering. I took two lessons from my retailer that sold me the software and machine and I have dabbled a little, but was curious what the majority of digitizers that do this daily, use.
I have never used pe design, but I know it is quite popular. I think once you start to get into the techniques of digitizing you will find the techniques are the the same. So you should be able to get help from people that don't know your software. I guess what I am saying is learn to digitize, don't just learn your software. This will be as clear as mud to you at the moment, but you will understand eventually.
Alice.
