Cranky, grumpy, out of sorts. But I am going off to church with my TENs unit and getting an attitude adjustment. I will feel so much better in a couple of hours.

Pain will certainly do that to you. Glad the TENs unit helps. God and church will get you on the right track for the upcoming week.

Hope church & TENs did the trick! Snow/rain here in East TN this AM, but a warm, wonderful service led by our youth at church! Hang in there, gal!!

Karen, I do understand and hope that you are feeling better by now - we have some rainy weather today and it is causing me lots of pain in my joints and bones. However, it always makes me feel better when Rick looks out and sees the horrid weather for the day and says, "It's a gloriously dreary day to be in love with you, my love."

okay, I'm not sure which category this puts me in...but I have to ask...what is a TENs unit? And for JROB...I did my first yoga class this past week. I couldn't believe how sore my legs were the next day. It was not the inner thigh muscle, but some unknown muscle that was just a bit more to the back. Who knew that when I walked in a class where everyone had their shoes off, sitting on the floor, relaxing music playing, ALL ages attending...that I would really feel it the next day AND be so amazed at the flexibility that one could have with 10 years of yoga...and I ain't talking about the youngest gal in the class. :)

"TENS" is the acronym for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation. A "TENS unit" is a pocket size, portable, battery-operated device that sends electrical impulses to certain parts of the body to block pain signals.
The electrical currents produced are mild, but can prevent pain messages from being transmitted to the brain and may raise the level of endorphins (natural pain killers produced by the brain).

TENS units should only be used under the direction of a doctor, physical therapist, or occupational therapist. Electrodes are attached to the surface of the skin over or near the area where you are experiencing pain.

I was in an automobile accident in 03 and also suffer from cronic back pain, but have been attending a Yoga class 3 x a week and it is helping UNBELIEVABLY! If there is a trained instructor near you, you might want to check it out. Amazing difference in me.

I hope you feel better and not like the bluebird that sewfrenzie posted! I know some time with the Lord in church does wonders for us. Hugs

I'm wishing you smiles and an uplifted heart!! Life is filled constant challenges that overwhelm us
occasionally! The going gets tough and frustrating at times, and when it does, I have to seclude myself, usually taking a brisk walk to clear my thinking! This gives me time to count my blessings to aid the attitude adjustment! Yep, even when it is cold outside, I will bundle up to take my "run away" walk! Even if it's hard to conjure up the blessed feeling, I manage to feel at least thankful for the warmth, when I get my near frozen "fanny" back inside!! LOL May the Lord bless you with many better days ahead!!

Understand all to well, my TENs Unit has been my best friend these last few days too. Don't know how I'd handle the weekends this time of year without mine. Hope you're feeling better soon! Hope your not feeling like this little blue bird for to long, lol!
