thought I should ask first. I don't want to distroy my computer, or get a virus.

Am I correct in thinking this software will allow me to shape lettering, etc? Right now I can only make words in a straight line. Curved, etc. would be nice.
I'll be watching for answers.......and will wait until I gather some wisdom from all of you.
Hopefully, one day I can answer some questions and help someone else!
Thanks a bunch!

I bought my lettering software from http://www.BuzzTools.com and I love it. It didn't take days to learn--user friendly. I have no problems with anything I do. I get most of my fonts from http://www.8ClawsAndAPaw.com Great site. They have a club you can join for a small fee and you can download any font or frame they have in their collection.

If your PC blocked it there might be a legitimate reason. Websites are being attacked or hijacked everyday by hackers and it can happen to even the most reputable of sites.

If it was me and I really wanted to use the program, I would write to the site owner and tell them the problem you had, in that way they can check to see if their site has been compromised.

If it hasn't they may offer to email the download to you.

hope this helps, Meganne

A friend and I downloaded it the same time. she's had time to play with it and loves it. I've got Embird, so haven't taken time to do anything with it yet.

On Planet Embroidery - I just choose machine type and mm or inches - Go through fonts to choose what you want to use - Lots of free ones - under font it will show the different sizes for that font so use blue arrow to make font bigger or smaller - type in you name or whatever - click the Try It to see if it will fit on your hoop - if you like it and it fits do the download. You can do 10 free ones a day. You have to pay for some of them. Hope this helps. Nanc

I can't imagine why there would be a problem, this is a reputable site. I have downloaded and intalled it on my computer with no problems. I have not played with it yet and i probably won't. What sort of warning did you get when you tried to download? if it was the standard this type of file can harm your computer then I would not worry about it, just click yes or ok or whatever. If it was a warning from your antivirus software then I am not sure why.
Alice.

Yes, it was the standard warning. Do you know what this software allows you to do and is it a trial?
Thanks

I use this free version sometimes. Doesn't have a lot of features to the free version. It is a little bit hard to understand how it works. I've never done the online lessons. I use Stitch Era Universal free version to do my lettering or I use Planet Embroidery online and download from there. Good luck. Nanc

Could you give me the link to Stitch Era Universal and Planet Embroidery. I would appreciate it.
Emb.designs said theirs is the only free similar soft ware available.

I found both of these but don't understand how it works.... On Planet Emb. what are "cells"..... I'm new at this...
I think I will just call the store where I bought the machine and see what they have for lettering.
Thanks anyway!

I will check out the site too, but I would hesitate if I get the same response @ an unknown site!BRB I went & I have to say that I decided against it even thoug I am familiar with this site but that's just me. It is a trial thing too right?

If you go to http://www.embroiderydesigns.com -- click free embroidery stuff at the left -then click on free software it should come up. Sorry -- I'm not PC savvy - as you can see.
