particular pattern on just tear away...dumb move!! My machine ate the tearaway and thread and I had a terrible mess.I had never had to take the machine apart at this point....After most of the afternoon figuring things out I finally got everything back in place and decided to leave it all until the next day. The next day I got everything set up and ready to go...and it wouldn't stitch!! A warning kept coming up, my needle was down and I couldn't raise it and I was getting sooo frustrated! I finally got the needle out using a pair of surgical gripper things. Then spent another hour trying to figure out my problem. Finally figured out that I hadn't set the race back in properly. Well there went my weekend of play but I certainly know my machine a lot better!!

This afternoon I came to the computer and checked mail and found that I had won "tip of the day" again at Embroidery library!! I think my "Angel" is watching over me. Maybe this week will be better.

Congratulation for your tip, it is sure very important but i do not understand well what you mean.I use always tearaway. I do not understand how I could clip the jump stitches on the back when the embroidery is not finished because they are hidden under the hoop, and I have not understand what trouble you have had... It had be so uncomfortable for you not to do your embroidery this afternoon

Sorry, guess I did not explain; after your pattern is finished and you go to remove the tearaway, sometimes there are a lot of jumps on the back that interfere with removing the tearaway,so I clip all those first before I attempt to remove any stabilizer.
With my machine....I had a jam up under the plate,so I had to remove it and the bobbin and the bobbin race to clean it all out, unfortunately I did not put it back the right way :-( At least I should not make that mistake again!!!

Thanks Bev. It is always a learning process with a new machine.I have had this for over a year now but have not had a lot of time to use it until lately. I hope you are enjoying yours. We don't have a dealer near here (south east B.C.) and I ordered my machine through Allbrands in Florida. It was on e bay & was such a good deal I couldn't resist.I was having a fit thinking"what will I do??" if something goes wrong. I have since found out that there is a fellow here who works on berninas and no doubt he could help with any more major hiccups.I do not want to think negative thoughts though!

Been there, done that. Makes you want to cry, except I'd have a head ache too.

Sorry to hear your machine had a hissy fit, because it didnt like what you wanted to do. Congrats on your Tip. Now go shopping and buy something nice as a "I'm sorry " design for your machine :))

Nadyne, so sorry that you were having so much trouble - but did you learn anything from it - that is the question - knowing more about your machine is always a good thing.

CONGRATULATIONS on the Tip of the Day - way to go.

Thanks! I was so scared that it would have to go to"the hospital" and we do not have a dealer close.
