Sticky washaway on the bottom and washaway topper on the top (I baste too).
I posted pics on projects. Nothing fancy but it was my first time to do towels. Thanks everyone. I used WSS on top
Most of the time I use a tearaway on the bottom and always have used water soluble on top.
I do a lot of towels and have only ever added the water soluable to the top and never had a problem.
Hope this helps
glad i saw this
i am doing towels for a baby and am not keen on using tearaway for him
i use soluable topper but am finding it hard to get washaway for bottom
i live in nottingham uk
I use a tear away on the bottom and a spray a temporary adhesive to tack it down so it doesn't move. Hoop both then put a water soluable stabilizer on top to press down the pokies and keep them out of the design. Many, many of the temporary adhesives will not clog up your machine. Read the labels.;)
I have a very thin one that I use on the bottom. Got it years ago at a thrift store. BIG roll. Figure it should last me the rest of my life. And I use WSS on the top. Cheapo me, I use just enough to cover the design. Pin it on. I hate anything sticky on my machine.
I use 2 sheet of wash away stabibilizer on the bottom and one on top .
I see no need for stabilizer on the bottom. I always use 1 or 2 sheets of water soluable on top depending on the thickness of the towels. Roberta
