I Luv these. I've made several over the years in different sizes before I did machine embroidery for
different uses. They make a beautiful sewing box put the pinchusion on the bottom center;
crochet needles, knitting needles and on and on.
Sorry no pics- you just get a theme and go with it.
Very nice - indeed - are they hard to make?
No just fiddley. Takes me 2 days to make one or 1 day IF i do nothing else. L
I've made these ages ago when HGTV still carried Carol Duvall's craft show. I couldn't find Carols directions...but I did find these sites that some of you might find interesting...These aren't that hard to make - more "fiddly" than anything. http://stamphenge.wordpress.com/m...

This is not exactly the same but a different idea if someone is interested. Lyn
Ah I did not know the name. I was given one by a Japanese friend a few years ago
Lyn... I have one!!! Grandma of a little boy I tutored made it for me many years ago. I didn't know it was called an Etui. She made hers all by hand - a very skilled needleworker with that gift to choose exactly the right fabrics.

I pick my fabrics and have so much fabric now. I am silly as I don't want to use that fabric for anything else, but I have so much. Love to see a photo Alma. Lyn
Before I was embroidering, I did plastic canvas big time. I did do a sewing box, but did not know it was Etui. It had a bottom, 4 sides and a lid. When you took the lid off, the 4 sides opened. One side I had tape measure, one side scissors, one side seam ripper, one side needles. Bottom was stuffed for a pin cushion. Lots of work, priceless. Gave both away. Kind of like the middle of the picture you shown. LOL
