Well I'm on track so far I suppose - the quilt top is finished. I can't say that I've slept much but we managed to gather up all our quilt squares by 9 pm on Monday night - so to have it done by Tuesday at 2:00 pm isn't too bad I think!! Now for the sandwiching and quilting... And for anyone who hasn't read the other post - this is a quilt that I'm making for my dear friend Alice... I started Friday night and she is leaving for treatment for her cancer that has returned tomorrow afternoon. Since we all can't go with her - this quilt is!!

A true labour of love. She will be so happy to have it. As Meganne said - cancer is a lonely path - and friends so often keep away because they can't cope with it. I've seen it with my mum, my daughter and myself. Great to have friends like you!

I think that you did a wonderful job! I did the same thing twice for 2 of my very df's this past fall & they both treasure their quilts ( I am still learning & they are both pro's) The chemo really takes alot out of them & they find themselves cold when they weren't before! The quilt is a tremendous gift of love & warmth when we can't be there going through it with them or for them!

She is blessed to have such wonderful friends! Great job! This will mean a lot to her and her family for years to come. Someone did this for my Mom when she had cancer. We will always treasure these special friends.
