Thanks for all your suggestions! I was wondering about the ann the gran stuff. . . .
I use stick glue. No over spray. no sticky needles and I pick up the cheapes pack I can find that cleans up with soap and water.
So far I have had better luck with it than the spray tac. Usingg it right now as I type to stitch some new hummingbird quilt blocks

Not living in USA we do not get any of the sprays mentioned. I buy the German make Maderia. It is expensive but lasts for ages.
I bought a can of Sullivans "Machine Embroidery Adhesive" at Hancock Fabrics a long time ago. It works great!! It does not gum up my needle, and doesn't take much spray to do the job.
I haven't used the 505 that many are speaking of from Allstitch, but, I have ordered a lot of stablilizers from them. They have fast and great customer service!! Recommend them highly!

I use 505 like so many others. I have to order it on line. I order from www.allstitch.com. I have ordered many things from them over several years and never had problem.
I use Dritz - get it at the Joann with a coupon or when the Notions wall is on sale half-price. I have also used the KK2000 (Sulky makes it) but I think the Dritz works better (stickier). I use the Dritz for quilting too.
I currently use 505 spray, but I ordered and just received that stuff Ann the Gran advertised "the Lapel Pen" so will let you know if I like that when I use it. Not a spray, it looks like a glue stick and not suppose to gum up machine or needle...
I have used both 505 and June Tailor Quilt Basting Spray....the last is the cheapest but works really well. I love how my hubby uses it also for things he needs to have glued together.....I also used the latter one for the making of my design wall as it was used to fuse the batting to the Styrofoam sheets and the corduroy to the batting....Works well...less than one can and it was a 7x7 foot wall....so it is very good....and strong.....
i have used the 505 and just ran out of it. But, I now have Quilt Basting Spray by June Tailoar - I picked it up on close out at the WalMart, and will use it. It works as well, and too, will not gum the needle It is repositional up to 2 months. I got my 505 from Shopper's Rule some time ago. I use it mostly for my applique and the little quilting that I do
505 basting spray. Not cheap, but also does not clog your needle and make it stick!! Check at a quilting store or craft store or online.
