Why do some threads pull up from the bobbin to the top of the fabric and others don't? This is very strange! All the tread is from Metro. All seven different colors stitch out just fine but the eighth didn't.

But I have had this happened with all different kinds of brands. Is there a pesty ghost lurking and pulling at my thread that I don't know about?

From now on I am only going to try to use designs that use only seven colors! LOL

Your bobbin tension may be too loose or top tension too tight, try loosening your top tension first, if that doesn't help bobbin tension may need adjusted. I had that problem before Christmas and was lucky enough to find a guy who came to my house and charged $30.

i think that some colors sew differently that the others, regardless of the brand. i tossed a spool of dark green yesterday that was absolutley terrible, the other threads in that brand are ok.

Yes I guess there could be a bad spool. Thank you! Learned something new again!

Are you also changing the bobbin thread for each colour change,if so check that you are putting the bobbin thread nicely in the bobbin spring.
If it the same bobbin for all colour changes it must be the top thread coming off the spool tighter.Check if it unspools evenly.
I sometimes use the spool stand so that it will unwind more evenly.
Happy stitching

Thank you! It makes sense that the top thread could be causing this problem.
Thank you again!

Check to see that your bobbin thread has not pulled out of the tension.
