this is the best thing since sliced bread. I get as much thread as possible on these. If not I use a piece of invisible scotch tape to hold it in place. Does NOT stick to thread. About a 2" piece and fold one end down for a "handle". Been doing that since day 2 of embroidery.

Hope you can see it in this, you just pull down on the outer ring on the bottom.
