where is OESD? Is there a tutorial or video how to? These are just wonderful, & very unique! Would like to know if I could do this or not never seen anything like them! Are they REAL SHELLS? There big!
I'm now sure where OESD is, but know it's a "trademark name". My DH bought it for me for our anniversary. He knows now when any occasion is coming up to ask what I want for embroidery, whether it's threads, or designs. I always have a 'wish list'!!! LOL

These particular shells came from a shell pit where I use to live. The old gentleman and his wife had a small live bait shop and the pit was behind. Every so often I would go visit them and he always let me go dig and pick up shells. These are verrrrrrry old...but in good shape.
I hope you try this technique..I love it!!

Sorry you will have to copy paste the link. I tried to put my direct link here, but didn't do something right. :-((((
I just can't get over how beautiful these are have others tryed these using fabric for the applique part there soooooooooo lovely:):0)???Carolyn
Thank you again! I have used a lot of different fabrics for these. Years ago I made a bunch of throw pillow and had a lot of fabric left + scraps. I made my Mama pillows that she has to this day...sooooo I made her a couple of these angels with that fabric. Kinda a nice keepsake. I've yet to get mine made. LOL It's been a lot of fun to experiment.
wonderful angels, i like the lace and applique combination *********
Luv this technique and the angels and ornaments are lovely!
Thank you very much. They are fun to do and use up scraps very nicely.

these are just really pretty and nice looking and so neat....you did a great job.....I use ties in projects all the time....
these are just lovely. I love the idea of using the tie. =0)
Thank you so much. I love making things from old ties...especially when they are mine and my DH's father's. They both had quite a collection of pretty ties.
