It is BEAUTIFUL !!! I love stack and whack quilts. I think they are so much fun to create and always amazed at the results. No 2 bloks are ever the same.
Beautiful job = I would loved to have done one of these.
Gerry, this is beautiful....it is so unique and you did a fabulous job on it. Now that you have done this type you need to do the pinwheel type or triangle ones. That type is what I have made so many of....Congratulations on your first full quilt...
Gerry you did an amazing job! This is absolutely gorgeous! Well done! *4U

This is simply stunning Gerry. Great combination when all the flower fabric is cut up. Looks very effective. Love and blessings Chris
A beauty!!! It is amazing how many different hexagons you get with this method, the result is stunning!
that's it...hexagon! I've been saying that "sq" part!! I knew it wasn't sq, but all I could think of was octagon...and I knew it wasn't that!!
IT IS PRETTY COOL HOW NO TWO BLOCKS ARE EVER ALIKE!WELL DONE BE SURE TO SIGN & DATE THE BACK WITH YOUR OWN PERSONAL LABEL!
please consider putting your full name - first, maiden and married names, your location-town and state, date finished and if it's for anyone their full name. This adds to the value of the quilt much more than "Grandma Mary"
BTW - the quilt is GORGEOUS!! So many blocks too - you are a determined quilter!
I have done this type o quilt there fun never know what you will get.
This looks lovely. Please why is it called a stack and whack quilt?
You stack up PERFECTLY aligned 6 pieces of fabric (size will depend on how large the repeat pattern is) and cut (whack) 6 triangles at a time. It's not that simple, but that's the idea. Then they will all be exactly alike, & you make that 6 sized "square" and continue from there.
