I have the same dilemma. My handsome hubby likes me to sit with him while he watches TV. I don't like all of the same programs so I do my hand embroidery. During the parts I don't like, I can concentrate more than I need to on my handiwork and miss what I don't want to see or hear.

Sounds like a good combination Deanna - I love watching TV and love old movies. Trevor likes watching Sport!

So, we have 2 TV's - I also have one here in my sewing room (so I can watch the news all day - don't like having Newspapers all over the house) and it's on more for noise than anything else.
