This will make a lovely quilt for your daughter..I'm always "messing up purples" not sure why, I have old eyes, too, LOLn *4U
Denise, great job. I like that you have changed your mind - while testing these design out - I love that you are going to work on something for your daughter, too.
So very cute ... love the shine of the thread. Only thing I would do different, although it may show up better in the actual stitchout, would be to make the lip color a little darker. (My eyes aren't what they used to be.) Great job!!
I think your eyes are pretty good! I agree. This is just a test stitchout. I messed up on the purples (should be reversed) and will change the miror colors next time. However, considering these take as long as they do to sew, I will be more careful next time to plan what colors I want to use.
With the bluebirds & ribbons, it makes me think of Cinderella or Snow White! Pretty. What did you put in on?
Gerry, these are just test stitchouts. Only yesterday, I commented that I was going to make a small lap quilt for my daughter's 5-year-old friend. I'm now thinking of making a sweet pillow and/or purse instead for her friend and making the quilt for my daughter when I have more time to plan it! Never enough time ...
