I ran out of the gold and had to wait until I got another opportunity to get into town and pick some up. Now I have the top done and its pinned for quilting. I'm a bit nervous as I've only done small quilts before and a lot of those where tied. Sure could use my grandma at my side to answer questions and even use her quilt frame, lol!

I think because of the simplicity of this design, stitching in the ditch would be very effective - or you could do a wavy stitch to represent the ocean to go with the fish in the centre squares.
