Very nice design. Do you sell these?
What is the soil control used for? I've never heard of it used as a stabilizer. Can anyone help?
Thank you for sharing your project. *4U
I too am waiting on what is the soil control used for and how and what else can you use it for
Actually we did sell 2 sets of the wall brackets back when I originally posted this picture. Go to www.carriff.com. That is the home site for the soil seperator. You will see that they actually sell it as an embroidery stabilizer on their site. Look under products.
very handy and space saving
Luckily I had the blank wall. 2 other walls are covered with pegboard and thread racks also home made.
What a great idea! I wish I had room in my tiny computer/sewing room for something like this! I am sure it will come in soooo handy, and appears DH comes in pretty handy too! Congratulations!
I also have a computer/sewing room. It is 11x13 and has in it a 5ft wide oak rolltop desk my 6x3ft cutting table also homemade, 3 sewing/embroidery machines,a serger, a file cabinet and my ironing board. My mantra is "need space..go up" Which is really cute 'cause I'm just under 5ft tall and I need one of those grabber things to reach half my stuff.
Very nice. Is the soil separator like the roll of stuff for weed control? I don't know what its called but I think it was black.
What a great idea. I am going to show my DH and get him busy making me one.
Really nice work by your DH, dosen't the stabelizer dry out this way?
I have never had a problem with them drying out. Also since this picture was posted I have added another rack above this one with just a single pole. I ran out of room.
Now if I could just get my DH n the mood, (to make me a rack that is,) This is a beautiful job, & you can b so organized *4U
I love this. My stablizer is never handy. I will show my husband. He is quite handy with tools. a *4U
Lucky you first for having such a rack and second for having a DH to do it for you. it'''''''''''''''''''''''''s a beauty
Very nice rack you've got there. I'll show my husband, after he's done the garden, and cleared out the garage, and the greenhouse, and painted the window frames ;-)
How on earth did you manage to get him to put it up so quick. My husband works on a 10year plan.If I want something like this done I have to wait 10 years,if I'm lucky!!!!He is the original"GONNA"!
So neat and compact. You had a very good idea. I Dont have space to do that yet but will do it. Nice to ahve a Hubby who is so handy. If you start using his tools he wont do things like that for you. You will be told get your own tools & make it yourself. Lol *4u
That's wonderful. Everything stays neat and is plain view! Bravo to DH!
Now if only I had that much stabilizer :D gr8 of your hubby to do that for you. Looks very nice, handy and tidy. *4U n ur DH
Guess what my DH will be making this w/end. Love this idea. Clears up cupboard space for MORE fabric, etc.:)
Great idea - wish I had the wall space - i have windows on 3 sides, but at least that makes for a sunny light room in which to sew.
This is such a GOOD idea. Thanks for sharinf with us. A flower for you .
What a neat and crafty idea. Need to make and sell to all your CuteEmbroidery friend. A flower for you.
Hey ask your DH can I put my order in...LOL GREAT job ;)
Actually it's my design. I just have to get him to make them because I'm not allowed to use his tools. Like he's not allowed to use my machines. He spent this morning making some single brackets to see if it was cost effective to try and sell them.
Hats off to YOU for a GREAT design. Yes, we must leave each others tools alone...LOL Thanks again ;)
this is great Hope you don't mind if I copy it * 4 U
Please do copy!! That's the reason for posting these things, to make life easier and less expensive for our fellow addicts! There are a million ways you could do this. Paper towel racks on the wall come to mind. I needed the width for that 36" roll.
maryjo, how wonderful - you will always be able to find your roll of stabilizer - won't you? Hehehe! You have a very handy husband - does he work for food? Hehehe! *4U
I have stitched out several of the Nativity figures. They're not quite dry yet. Will post when I get home from sitting the triplets.
They turned out beautiful, too! Did you know - that if you place your fsl between two layers of towel and get out most of the moisture - you can dry with a hair dryer to almost dry - then you get to see your project complete - faster?
The long roll(36") is a roll of the infamous soil seperator from Lowes. I use it a lot. Very lt. weight like organza. But about $24. for 300 ft, x 36". Just dont put a hot iron directly on it. It's poly and it will melt.
Oh, it's so good to be organised, isn't it? Well done, and well done to your DH. Hugs and a flower sweetie.
